The year to be Scrooge

Just before my surgery, I had finished up with my two yoga memberships.

My ‘gym membership’ comes out of the UOB Ladies Card that offers two free visits per month to any branch of California Fitness centre. In every visit, I could get into a dance class (for a vigorous cardio workout), then on to the elliptical machine, and I even have time left over for the weights. I had been inundated with endless calls about cheap promo packages, but I am steadfast about it. I am happy to pay $25 per entry (which makes a once-a-week visit cost $50 in total, since I have two free visits) , then be tied down to a $60+ plan for 3 years.

Now for the yoga sessions. The said credit card also offers free visits to True Yoga. This, I don’t recommend you try unless you have iron resolve like mine, for the salesultants would hound you to try and break you down (unless of course, you want to sign up). If there’s a class I really fancy like Bollywood Dance (seriously it’s a bunch of fun) or Pilates, I would sign in on the 12th floor Pacific Plaza studio (as it’s on a different level from the main one where all the hounds are) and only go to the classes offered in that particular studio. If they are not happy that I am taking advantage of these privileges without paying a cent, then UOB should just retract them, and I have told them so. Interestingly or not, you’ll see a representative Wee in all three instituitions – UOB, California Fitness, True Yoga.

Imagine the thousands I would and have saved. And I promise I will not drop them on these gorgeous CLs at the newly opened boutique :)
