When we were on our stroller hunt-holiday in London, we also stopped by Barcelona. And guess what we did when we were there? Yes! Visit another stroller manufacturer! You must think that we are officially kuku, but my dear hubby was determined to get our hands on a jogger-type stroller that wasn’t available here, which would be perfect for a brisk walk in the sometimes-muddy and pot-holey terrain at Botanic Gardens. (You would by now, guess, that the hubby does do things in extremes. Wait til you listen to the number of bikes and tennis rackets and diving equipment he has!)

Anyhoo! We met up with the GM who brought us to his favourite Catalan restaurant and we even spent half a day at the test lab. We ended up ordering a bunch of the PlayXtreme TR4. A shipment, to be exact!

Because we could customise the colours of the seat and the diaper bags, we ordered the Black Series, the Orange-with-Green-Flowers Series and the Blue-with-Yellow Stars.

Because there wasn’t a prior distributorship in the region, there are only 50 units of these in Asia Pacific, all of them with us. We were retailing this stroller at $1600,  but now you can get the handsome package at just $850. The bulk of our customers were expats, but we realise that an increasing number of jogger strollers have been appearing in the market, which means that the locals are finally catching on! And using it as their weekend stroller at the parks.

This Special Edition features red coil suspension and ventilated disc brakes. Daddies really dig this. Standard edition has black coil spring and drum brakes, which is not as effective as disc brakes. (Trust you me, go check out the rest!). And unlike the usual 3-wheelers, this jogger has unique double front wheels for stability.

It was love at first sight, more than 15 years ago when I watched my all-time favourite Hitchcock movie ‘Rear Window’ starring the ever-charming James Stewart and Grace Kelly (Re-runs, people, re-runs, I’m not that ancient! Haha). Her feline grace, her beauty, just stuck in my head – and the dress too (There was a point I had really wanted to marry in a dress like this!).

I thought to myself, ‘I want to be like her when I grow up!’.

Not a snowball’s chance in hell! But perhaps carrying a Box Kelly that she made so famous, could make me a hair’s breadth closer??

Having had box kellys  and kelly cuts pass through my hands, I’ve finally overcome my ‘box’ fear and am succumbing to its lure. I had thought to myself, if a Rouge H, Box, Sellier, GHW one come by my way, I’m keeping it

And that’s exactly what happened. Reveals when I finally get the bag!

Tough-arse luck, I was caught in the rain my first day using it, but as usual the raindrops slid right off the swift leather.

Remember the Black GHW Birkin  we nabbed from a couple of months back? We managed to get a GHW breloque charm chain to dress it up! These charm chains are quite hard to come by, trust you me.

How pretty is this? Love how the gold stands out against the black.
