For Paris and London trips, you pay 7% of boutique price. So say your purchase is 1000euros/pounds, you pay 1070 in total. It’s still lower than retail in Singapore (probably the whole of Asia, if I may dare say).

Hi vera, black with gold is a nice classic combi good for everyday use. You will probably get a lot more mileage out of it compared to a white one, which is why u see it often
there are other colours besides black though! Kelvin has spotted shades of blue and purples in paris. The other option for a lighter side is ivory instead of white. That said, I think white flap would be a standout piece. I guess the definitive question would be: do u want it as your daily bag or a statement piece 
but it’s a nice dilemma to have isn’t it.

I still do not have definite word on the ‘Essential’ paper bag range in Euros. But in the US, the small tote is going for US$1450 and the E/W and N/S totes are US$2525. The US prices are about 12-15% more than Parisian prices. Singapore prices are about 18-20% more than Parisian prices. I hope that helps. Usually our customers save about at least $600 on their Chanel purchases. If we do not have a definite price during order placement, we usually give our clients a range to work off. If it’s above that price range, we do not purchase, simple as that

The current Paris boutique price is 1870 euros thereabouts. We add a 8% shopping charge to that, which comes up to 2019 euros. You save $500, compared to the local Chanel, depending on credit card rates. Kelvin will be also in London for the August trip and he will make price comparison with the London boutiques. We will of course get from the cheaper city. Your third purchase with us gives you a waiver on the shopping charge, so you pay purely the Paris/London retail price (which will save you tons). Or if you combine 3 purchases with your friends, the third will get an immediate waiver, so you can split the shopping charges.
Hey and on the herve leger dresses – yes they don’t ship to sg, so I use globaleshop.com as a connecting courier. So, Gilt ships to a pre-determined US address, globaleshop picks it from there and ships it to me in sg. Vpost.com.sg provides a similar service, but I had so many unfortunate incidences with them that I don’t use them anymore. However, you will need an AMEX card to use globaleshop. Gilt.com is just so great with deals aren’t they. You can also try hautelook.com, I read that they had herve leger going for about S$500 only, I wasn’t in the loop then so I missed out.

No worries, take your time to decide. The medium is good for everyday use, admittedly after taking into consideration the hidden inside flaps and compartments, you can probably pack in your wallet, keys, compact, a lipstick and perhaps a coin pouch. If you want to carry a novel with you, I would definitely recommend the jumbo. I own a jumbo, and I love it. And yes, I have carried a hardback in it. It looks huge on me though, but that’s exactly the charm of it. A jumbo somehow looks less formal than medium; u can style it up or down for a careless chic kind of look. But if you don’t carry much, your stuff would just sit at the bottom of the Jumbo and clunk around. Why don’t you drop by Chanel for a look? Try on the bags for size, that’s best if you are undecided.

the medium classic flaps we last bought in may cost 1710euros for caviar skin(now rumoured to have gone up to 1795euros) and 1890euros for lamskin. Jumbo is 1870 and 2020euros respectively. There will be a 8% shopping charge. Average savings are at least S$500+. We are also stopping by london to check if prices are lower there.

Yes the beige and gold is such a beautiful combi isn’t it. Hmm for your second, I think the re-issue in an everyday size of 226 – 11″ x 8″ x 2.5″ (considered a medium). I think the 225 may be a little small, cos don’t forget they come with a double flap on the inside. The paris boutique price of the 226 is 1960euros. We charge an 8% shopping charge. That’s it. And yes, I think we should pretty much be able to get our hands on one!

Hi sherlyn, usually Jas will go for the price recce runs. For the rest, I will do some snooping online. But since our feature on Urban, the queries have been overwhelming, running into the hundreds. Imagine going for a price run for every query
So now, the most ideal situation when we don’t have the prices, is that our customer give us a range to shop within, so that we make only one run for that one bag. If the price is above the range, we won’t purchase and there won’t be any fee incurred. We charge strictly boutique price +7% fee, no funny business at al. I would venture to say that Burberry would be cheaper than Singapore, but Paris may not be the place that offers that best savings for Burberry, it could say, be London.

You can place order for any brands, but of course, it makes sense that you purchase those that can’t be found in SIngapore (in terms of specifications/colours) or those that will earn you savings. Kelvin returns from his trip in midJan, that’s when you will receive your bag.

There’s no guarantee per se in getting a Birkin as since Paris is one of the cheapest places to get a Birkin on the shelves, they do tend to fly off! If you should be so lucky to be shown a Birkin, there’s usually a crowd standing behind you waiting for you to say no. We usually advise our clients to give us a list of colour and leather options, the more open you are to them, the greater the likelihood of getting one. Of course, it would be tougher to get say Orange, than a Gold(tan) coloured birkin. The 30cm is S$11,800 and the 35cm S$12,4xx. However, there are rumours that prices will be increasing next year.

I feel that you are never too short for a 35cm, but one can be too tall for a 30cm. Space-wise, of course the 35 is bigger, but you will never really fill it up, cos even a full30cm is too much for me to carry during window shopping! Hi May, the 30cm is estimated at S$11,5xx subject to currency changes. On whether if it’s hard to get, I would say chances are very touch-and-go in Paris, subject to availability of the colour – I do have a backlog of reds to fulfil. Tokyo-wise, it’s much easier as my SA is willing to hold bags for me, but the prices are much higher than Paris, a reason why it’s easier to procure a Birkin there.

Hi David, we keep the rebate as earnings. This actually allows us to carry on the business without unneccesary markups. We also peg our prices to the credit card exchange rates, which means that if currency goes down (e.g euros are really low now), we pass on the savings to our clients. For authentic first-hand luxury goods, I believe we are charging the most reasonable prices.

Forget about waiting for lower currency rates or sales, it will either be sold out or there’s a price hike. The current retail for caviar and lambskin jumbos is S$5350. If we shop for you, it’s S$49xx or less depending on the exchange rate.

Gold is no longer seen as the ‘older’ colour, but rather, the point of differentiation
