Father’s Day Recap

The plan couldn’t have gone more, well, according to plan. Except for one little furry snitch. After I checked in the three families and we all got buggy-ed to our respective suites, the husband was supposed to smuggle Mumble (the new family pup) in to ours, which has a back garden for him to run about. As he walked up the path, he got caught by the security guard, like a child with his hand in the cookie jar, at the very moment that Mumble decided to stick his head out of the bag.

We had to send him away. But a full programme of food and chilling out stretched out to the following day and everyone was happy.

Father’s Day Staycation

Fathers have a way of putting things together (ok so the quote’s not original, probably something I read off a magazine or gossip blog), and in celebration of that, I’m buying the three daddies in my families (you know what I mean) a stay at Amara Sanctuary’s Courtyard Suites.

Featuring expansive suites that come complete with a courtyard, lounging area, outdoor shower and a jaccuzzi, it’s been my go-to staycation resort since it’s opened.

As the elder couples enjoy their rooms and walks, I shall be content with a good bottle of rose or port (I have tastebuds of an old man) set by the side of my jacuzzi – and this is a must – three good Cubans to chase it. That’s heaven to me.

I can be anywhere, just give me these, and I will be in blissful contentment. If you are a working mother perpetually running after an active boy, a hubby, and a dog, you will totally get me.

Give me my sunnies, the Agatha Christie from the Resort Library I have yet to finish from my last stay, the japanese bath salts, candle lights, my H scarves and La Perla to pretend that I’m holidaying on Santorini, and I’m all good for this weekend.
