Chanel Classic Pearls available here!

Whilst at Printemps last Sunday (Every first Sunday of the month, Printemps and Galleries make an exception and they open for business), Jas got the last 35″ Classic Pearls available in store.

They are for sale at S$1100! It is going for less than $1400 at the Chanel boutiques here, if you can even find them. As of 7 Dec, there’s a wait list for these classic pearls. It’s a good buy, as the pearls go up in prices year on year. I should know, as I bought mine for less than S$1200+ just last year and it’s now retailing at S$13xx, thereabouts. Trust you me, two more price increases (the annual average for Chanel), it will hit $1400 next year.

This is me modelling mine, with gold hardware on the double Cs. The one for sale has silver hardware (more modern!). Most people don’t realise they come in different coloured hardware, ‘cos you can’t really tell, till you look closely.

The coveted Carousels

We had a request from a lovely lady, for the Carousel necklace with pearls. Have you seen it? It’s a dream. The Carousel charm had a mini classic flap, a mini pearl bracelet, a mini shoe and mini camellias that could turn and shimmy up and down the ‘poles’. It is sold out in Singapore.

I called Chanel Rue Cambon, and was told that the Carousel necklaces in all Paris boutiques had been cleared out more than two months ago. Amazing, just amazing. It was retailing for 1260 euros in Paris (in Singapore, it was S$3400, thereabouts.)

If you are interested in the 35″ Chanel Classic Pearls, it’s retailing for 515euros (Singapore – S$1200 last year, thereabouts. Updated on 7Dec: I went to enquire about it last Thursday, it is now going for close to $1400, and there’s a waiting list.).
