Happy happy new year! Let’s begin by painting it Orange & Blue; but before I go into some (just a fraction actually!) of the reveals that I have been promising forever, let’s start with the goodies are immediately available :)

Now let’s go to the reveals! Continuing with the colour of the moment Blue Electrique…

Presenting the light and fluffy baby blue Ceil B, congrats to the proud owner!

Here’s a galfren’s gorgeous Thalassa Blue ToolBox:

I’ve never seen it carried like that with the ‘wings’ open, I think it works beautifully!

Moving on to Orange, here’s the 1998 Limited Edition Vinyl in Orange that Kiefer bidded for and won on rakuten, for his godma! We’re now bag twins, except mine is clear!

Here’s a 32cm Candy Kelly in Brique & Orange! It’s the first that I have come across, the Brique colour staying true to its name and contrasting beautifully with the Orange inside :)

Happiness Redux!

I remember the one time – once upon a blue moon ago, when I worked for 30 hours straight (save for 3 hours on the couch!), after which I dragged my eyebags right to Prada. I threw caution and a couple of grand to the wind, and the joy I experienced was so unadulterated and liberating.

I built this business on one simple principle: to recreate that kind of happiness for my customers.

Let’s relive their joy, with these reveals.

We could post drab listings, tons of them. But you’ll find nothing of that sort with the Happiness Store. Just check out these stunning reveals.

I’m starting with A’s Ombre KD. It was such a joyful delivery, and I walked away with a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day. Her happiness was so heartwarmingly infectious, I had extra spring in my step that day. Thank you, A!

And since we are on Ombre, let’s check out some more of this popular favourite.

This KDT had a brownish sheen to it, which contrasts nicely with the GHW.

I especially love the colour on this KDT; it seems more matte and whiter. I hardly come by one like this. Congrats to J!

We’ve also been lucky with quite a number of Ombre CDCs, in both PHW and GHW. Gawk at these, owned by some very stylish ladies!

Now look at the obvious ringlets on this GHW beauty!

Even the CDC stock situation is in a situation. My shopper saw a couple of exotics during the June trip. But this time round, there were only normal leathers and even then, the colours are limited.

I love receiving my Hermes mail, you never know what you’ll find. The irreverent tone of it is a tad divorced from the serious craftsmanship that Hermes is known for, but I love it.

Ha! Bet that got your attention eh.

Ok, let me begin from the end of the day cos that’s where the excitement starts. Remember my post from yesterday where I was in an enviable dilemma of deciding between an Alligator Collier De Chien in Gris Elephant and one in Orange?

I really was not planning on going to Hermes two days in a row, but I’m now glad Jas (kinda) made me today. For when the ladies brought the Ombre Lizzie CDC to me on the H platter, it just sang sang sang to me!

To be entirely honest, I wasn’t totally convinced by the Orange Alligator in Silver Hardware, but I most certainly would have bought it if I had to choose between that and the Gris Elephant. It would have been a regretful decision if I have bought it at Taka Hermes tomorrow where it’s being held for me, only to discover the Lizzie later at Maison Hermes!

“The Lizzie is cheaper!”, I gasped. And all the ladies (I had three of them serving me woohoo) just burst into spontaneous clapping along with me :)

I can’t do a reveal now because they have to apply for a licence, in order for me to claim detaxe, as it is an exotic-skin item. Am returning on Monday to collect my prize, I will be sure to post pics. Til then, here’s one of the display.

And oh, yes! For the case of  35cm birkins, they have a Curry in Togo, Rouge Garrance in Clemence, Bleau Jean in Togo and White Togo (can’t remember leather) in back. Travel birkins in Soleil were on the shop floor. Very pretty.

Backtrack to just half an hour earlier: Jas and I at Le Grand Bleu. Yes we found it!!!!! That deserves another post in itself, and that will have to wait til tomorrow, got to crash now.

BTW,  another H lover Caryn, is looking to sell her Chocolate 28 Kelly in  Chevre de Coromandel leather. She had bought it from the local boutique at 12K, looking to let go to a good owner. It’s pure chocolatey goodness in a hard-to-come-by goatskin. Contact her here.

The all-metal Collier De Chien

You read about how I went to the T2 and T3 Hermes concessions to ask about Collier De Chiens, specifically an all-metal one, (not metallic-coloured ya), which I’m so sure I had seen on one of the local magazines. The SAs were quite baffled, but promised to look out for any such arrivals.

I had received the Hermes magazine this week, aha! proof that I wasn’t hallucinating:

I think it is simply gorgeous, with a streak of S&M. It would take skinnies and white Ts to another level altogether.

Hermes cuffs and such

Searches on ‘hermes leather bracelets’ regularly get directed here. One of my personal favourites.

I love my Collier De Chien (which is literally translated as ‘Dog Collar’ from French) bracelet. The spikes on it add a touch of biker chic to any get-up. Next in line would be the Rivale, which I regard as a sized-down version of the Collier.

The Collier is hard to come by in Singapore. I had been enquiring about a light coloured one for more than half a year before Kelvin got my white one in Provence.

But, I had discovered another avenue soon after. It seems that the Changi Airport Hermes concessions carry at least one of these Collier De Cheins at any one time. Fortunately for my wallet,  they are often black with silver hardware. (I am considering a bright-coloured one for my second.) I saw a Taupe one recently, as I was departing for Bali.

And it seems that they also often get  greater stock/colour variety. For example, my SA at Liat Towers had to source for my Rose Shocking (a really popular colour) Calvi Case, whilst the concessions at the airport had more than a couple of them in stock.

I’ve spotted an all metallic Collier on the local magazines. And I’m pretty sure the concessions will somehow get it before the city boutiques.

BTW, I find prices at the Hermes concession at the KLIA cheaper than the ones in Changi.
