Another Happy Day!

It’s ladies like Gloria who give meaning to this Happiness undertaking. I’ve become fast friends with her, through the (chance) sale of a Chanel Carousel necklace (which I still get queries about, right to this day. I get a fair percentage of hits from people googling for ‘Carousel necklace’ on a daily basis!)

I’ve been asked why I do this. First up, I love writing and sharing, especially about girly fancies, so keeping a blog like this is almost second nature to me, and secondly I just get a kick out of beating the system I guess, well in this case, beating the retail prices. And the feeling I get from seeing that wide smile is just, priceless.

Thank you ladies for making me beam as well! :)

Happy Day!

I met with the pretty and congenial Li Ying last Friday. Prior to that, my hubby had refused to drive me, my booked cab had gone off without  picking me up, and I arrived realising too late, that there’s a water stain on my silk dress!

But her joy at seeing the bag made that all disappear in a poof!

She wears it with such je ne sais quoi, what with the black stripes on white (and I spot some red as well :) Nicely done!

All Chanel orders fulfilled

The other thing most exciting next to the Lacroix gala, would be this. That all the Chanel orders are in the bag! Kelvin called me in the midst of my putting the melt-in-your-mouth beef cheeks to tell me that.

Another happy day!

I met Gloria last Saturday at PS Cafe to hand over her Damier Neverfull. And she showed me the most daintily gorgeous watch ever. I had considered a vintage Jaegar-LeCoultre for a birthday present to myself. But Gloria’s vintage Omega with a diamond bezel and lugs totally topped that.

I’m kicking myself today for not taking a picture of it. But here’s one of happy Gloria :)

I went today to check out the watch gallery where Gloria had purchased her watch, hoping for more of the good stuff, but they don’t open on Mondays! Am going to try again tomorrow. Will keep you posted!

Carousel necklace sold!

Thanks everyone for the response and queries, but the gorgeous Carousel necklace has found an owner in lovely Gloria.

I had met Gloria at Raffles City and since I was around that area, I thought to go check out the National Museum as they are running the Christian Lacroix exhibition (or so I thought).

Of course they weren’t, cos it starts on the 20th! Kiefer had fun with the giant video wall though.

It was a happy day.

Happy Day!

A little story before we get to the reveal.

I had to crash Kelvin’s shoot with a very well-regarded designer, to collect a Chanel bag for a Happy camper (see later). I walked up the building, and stood behind him as he looks at his shots on the mac.

Eventually he looked up at me waving at him, puzzled, he ventured, “Oh, you are Carol….’s FRIEND.”

!!!!!

Oh my goodness. Now, this dude has known me for more than a DECADE. I can only imagine how different I really look to my friends. Suffice to say, laughter all round, when I told him I’m REALLY Carol, just chipmunked. Hehe.

Seeing Jenny open her beautifully wrapped up package was such a pleasure. We practically squealed (yes, just imagine two grown women doing that) at the gorgeousness of the beige Chanel. The magic is the gold hardware. Beige and gold are just made for each other.

Remember those popular Classic Pearls? Here is the happy owner, gifted by her friend, Caroline. Very nicely paired with a black pinafore dress.

This sweet lady placed an order for the iconic Chanel Classic Flap, which Jas promptly grabbed at the rue du Faubourg St Honore Chanel boutique. At 1710 euros, she saved close to $900 (!!!). It made me happy today :)
