Happy happy new year! Let’s begin by painting it Orange & Blue; but before I go into some (just a fraction actually!) of the reveals that I have been promising forever, let’s start with the goodies are immediately available :)

Available now! Reserved!

Now let’s go to the reveals! Continuing with the colour of the moment Blue Electrique…

Presenting the light and fluffy baby blue Ceil B, congrats to the proud owner!

Here’s a galfren’s gorgeous Thalassa Blue ToolBox:

I’ve never seen it carried like that with the ‘wings’ open, I think it works beautifully!

Moving on to Orange, here’s the 1998 Limited Edition Vinyl in Orange that Kiefer bidded for and won on rakuten, for his godma! We’re now bag twins, except mine is clear!

Presenting the coupe for last Dec, an Orange Ostrich with GHW! Congrats to the couple

Here’s a 32cm Candy Kelly in Brique & Orange! It’s the first that I have come across, the Brique colour staying true to its name and contrasting beautifully with the Orange inside :)

That’s all for now folks! I have still quite a number of reveals on purples and reds , stay tuned!

Finally, the Happiness reveals!

24hours in a day just doesn’t seem enough for me! I’ve taken up a new role (yup, no more playing pretend tai tai for me!), and I would like to say a sincere sorry to all the folks I’m unable to shop for.

I’m really enjoying providing this service especially for my regular clients (you know who you are!), and at the moment, I will be limiting my pool of customers so I can provide a timely and personalised service. How to be a ‘regular’? It’s all in the stars, and if I am ‘lucky’ enough to fulfil your orders once or twice, you’ll be in the loop. Don’t let that stop you from contacting me though, what I just said is a ‘disclaimer’ I have to put in, what with the ever-increasing numbers of orders we get.

As you know, I hardly put items up here for sale, for the goodies we shop for usually has a name attached to them, and that’s what a true concierge service is ;)

Ok, let’s get on with the reveals! We had some more amazing coups and I can’t wait to share.

We had some really pretty, red bracelets especially the Sanguine (new tomato-ey colour) ones.

We have one more available, at $1080, quick text me!
… some gorgeous new-season Lizzie cdcs…
… I had the pleasure of meeting up with a young, and very fashionable lady, for her pelouse gator CDC (that she’s been seeking for a while) to complement her very very gorgeous birdie.

…and whilst we are at green, congrats to CC for being a happy owner of the Lime KP that she’s getting crazy compliments on :D (always a pleasure to shop for you!)
Also, am glad to fulfil CC’s wish for a Rubis KP, that goes perfectly with her So Kelly (had this delivered to her against all odds, when she come to sg for a visit)
I also notice a huge trend towards GHW, and there’s no wonder why, just look at these goodies who made some ladies very happy campers! (Shout-out to the really pretty K, who has great fashion sense to stack these black w ghw H goodies)
The Hapi makes me happy! K and I wonder why it’s so underrated, I’d stack two of them for a rocker look!
…a really pretty Orange Chevre in GHW (you’d be amazed how scarce colourful KLWs are!), congrats to J, am so honoured to end your year-long search!
And here’s a nice GHW coup! A gorgeous Gold Ostrich GHW birkin, for CC. I realise Gold on Ostrich looks like a muted potiron, and the GHW sets it off just perfectly!
And whilst we are on the topic of gorgeous, check out this Mykonos Eclat that I had the pleasure of handing to M..
… One more birkin! I love this 25cm Havanne Birkin that can carry you through from work to cocktails! Congrats to E :D
AND! Lastly, let me leave you with this teaser.
… that brought a smile to my face as wide as this:
Good sunday, everyone!

The story of my life

One faithful night, my car wheel clipped the base of a temporary cement road divider on Cross Street (darned roadworks never seem to end!). I sat strapped in helplessly as the tire punctured, and the car fell onto the driver’s side. T-I-M-B-E-R…Dooosh!

I was in shock and it felt like I had blacked out for a second. I could hear bystanders yelling at me to take the key out of the ignition, which I couldn’t.

“Roll down the passenger window!” Which I did, and stepping on broken glass, I took one last look at my shopping bags in my back seat from a Fendi event earlier in the day, my favourite Louboutins haphazardly strewn everywhere; finally I climbed onto the passenger headrest, and hoisted myself out of the window ( I thank my elliptical gym ritual and the helpful bystanders to be able to do this)

But. Not before I reached for my Kelly and stuffed my Kelly Pochette in it. Why two bags? I had 2 events that day, and what a way to end with a bang huh. Also, I’m thankful that I had finished my deliveries to customers, and there weren’t any goodies in the car that day.

My Kelly suffered some scratches, and considering the tumble it took, I’d say it emerged beautifully. The Kelly Pochette had nary a scratch on it. I’m sending both to spa, and I’ve since started my new (bag) lease of life with my Pink Lindy.

Check out the survivors. For the record: Swift leather (yup both bags, told you I’m a Swift lover) are hardier than you think. They survived a car accident.

Close-up of the scratches on the Kelly.

A series of life events unfolded after this, and wow, it kickstarted me into assessing my life priorities.

I’ve since scrapped the car, as it seems to be giving me some bad carma (hurhur), and hey, what matters is that we’re all survivors.

Happiness Redux V

Check out these happy faces below :D

Gris Perle is the sumptuous new grey pearl colour, and looks oh-so-chic on this elegant Kelly Cut, that will take S from day to night :D

Can you believe that she is a new mummy?? She’s as slim and tall as the Kelly Cut!! ENVY.

Here’s SS with her long-awaited Noir Gator CDC GHW. Seeing my customers swoon over their goodies gives me such joy :) Thanks to all of you folks for making my day.

Here’s another shot of the evenly gorgeous scales of the Noir Gator CDC.

Next up is the highly sought-after Amethyst Gator CDC in GHW. How often do you come by Amethyst AND in GHW?? Congrats to J!

Here’s one of a PHW we nabbed a couple of months back. Lucky us and lucky customer!!

Still on CDCs. Check out the very visible and beautiful ringlets on this Lizzie Ombre CDC GHW. This must be one of the prettiest-patterned Lizzie Ombre CDCs I’ve had the pleasure of delivering. Congrats to D!

Next up is this edgy-rocker-gothic-like Chanel ring, lovely in its details.

This customer, who’s become a nice friend, has maadddd love for rings. Check out her YSL Arty rings, all five of them!!

I also had the pleasure of delivering the new-season pink Chanel slippers, which I thought would go so well with my pink Lindy…. Swoon.

Yupe! I finally broke it out :D LOVE IT

Tough-arse luck, I was caught in the rain my first day using it, but as usual the raindrops slid right off the swift leather.

Ok, so you want Bs & Ks instead. Lemme indulge you!

Remember the Black GHW Birkin  we nabbed from a couple of months back? We managed to get a GHW breloque charm chain to dress it up! These charm chains are quite hard to come by, trust you me.

How pretty is this? Love how the gold stands out against the black.

And now, take a deep breath
.
.
.
.
.
and exhale in amazement at this gorgy 35cm Mykonos Kelly!! I snuck a peak before handing it over, and the colour is like a breath of fresh ocean air…ahhhhhh!

At this point, you’re probably thinking, how is Carol going to top this. Well, I’ve more reveals coming up!

Here’s a sneak peak :)

I always have more up my sleeves!!

Til tomorrow! ;D

Happiness Redux IV

Here comes the PHW. And a myriad of colours!

The Fuschia Gator Kelly Dog that garnered tons of queries found a lovely owner in CC!

Two other ladies were lucky to nab the Orange and the Pelouse (I have mad love for the Pelouse!).

How hard to come by are these? Suffice to say we never saw them in Paris…

Love the even scales on this Rouge H Gator CDC.

I had originally thought this an Orange Kelly Dog, but upon comparison with the customer’s Orange Lindy, we found it a little too deep and bright for an Orange. Turned out to be Feu, a new-season colour. (Thanks for the info, S!)

Now on to some bags I’ve had the (great, great) pleasure of delivering personally.

I’ve a story for this delivery (don’t I always?). Earlier in the day, I was out with J, who was back for a rare visit. I just had to show her the over-rated Ku De Ta atop Marina Bay Sands. We had sat in the open, under umbrellas, amidst a slight drizzle, and the moisture had helped in the colour transfer of the black from my gauzy-thingie dress onto my very-new bubble-pink Garden Party. Later in the evening, I drove to M’s home to deliver her this elegant, all-season Shoulder Kelly, and just 5 seconds after the above picture, did I see the dark patches on my GP. It was a dramatic discovery for me; I was so distraught, I nearly mistakenly walked out of M’s home with her pair of Chanel slippers!!

(At this point, I know you must be thinking, who pairs a black dress with a pink bag?? haha)

A customer had read that Tabac Camel is going to be discontinued, and that makes this Lindy such a nice coup. It’s a lovely milky colour, on the cool-grey side of Gold. Best described as an Etoupey-Gold. Very, very wearable.

It’s a colour that’s difficult to capture. Here’s it looking a tad different in another shot.

Here’s another stunning, stunning coup for us. It’s so pretty, I just have to revisit it again.

Let’s go from this stunner to another. A 25cm Bougainvillier Birkin; what it lacks in size, it makes up in beautiful saturated colour!

With flash

Since we’re on the topic of colours, thought this shot of the bi-colour Kelly Cut would blow you away.
Rubis with Rose Tyrien Interior

If that didn’t do it for you, this probably would..

Wait for it…

Rose Tyrien with Rubis Interior

Whilst you are floating on pink-hued clouds, check out this gorgeous Chanel Fuschia Lipstick Flap. And yupe, we managed to nab a couple of the limited-edition jacket charms, that made some of my customers happy campers!

Ok, let us all calm down with a shot of a lovely classic – the black Kelly, that gives any ensemble a touch of class. Beauty. Congrats to A :)

Let’s round things off nicely with a So-Black KDT :)

More tomorrow folks! Yes, more!!

Pelouse look this way

At my favourite Hermes Shenton Way delivery venue, I started off with a lemon tart instead of the usual chocolate eclair. Perhaps it felt more green, more suited to the day’s delivery.

The Pelouse!

I was just as excited for the reveal as its owner. ST arrived, and I just knew it was her, sporting a jersey scarf worn as a halter neck (beauuutiful colours!) and a Biscuit Lindy. A lovely sight.

With bated breath, we unveiled the beauty. So excited we were, I nearly again forgot to take pictures.

I know the Japanese lady behind ST had her eyes and ears in our direction the entire time, and how can we blame her.

In ST’s very own words:

Happiness is….
Scoring that Kelly in my fav green,
paying at an unbeatable euro exchange rate…
and having a great lunch with e bubbly n fabulicious Carol!

You are too kind, ST :D

(Her) precious….

I first laid eyes on a Pelouse in Swift on a client’s (that’s you, Sherral!) Lindy. Breathtaking.

The shade of emerald green is so saturated and true, it’s a stunner you’ll never forget once you’ve seen it. A newish shade from Hermes, and also very elusive!

We’ve nabbed a Pelouse Kelly for a client from Hermes FSH flagship store. I had wanted it for myself, but clients first, always :D Congratulations, Sharon!

This picture (from Bagsnob’s blog) depicts the green in its truest hue.

WOWZA. Thank you for your queries!

The webcount has gone off the roof! It’s in the thousands now.

Thank you, thank you so much.

My blackberry is pinging every other minute with texts and emails. I haven’t yet have the chance to read the article on Urban, but am sure that is the reason for this morning’s excitement.

Please give me a day or two to properly reply everyone. I actually relish these conversations. Unfortunately this morning, my mind is also heavy with a different matter – my son’s appeal to his primary school.

Anyhoo, I have had the pleasure of speaking with some of you lovely ladies, very pleasant hearing voices of fellow H- and Chanel lovers!

Let me answer some of the oft-asked questions here.

1. Our next trip is in Jan 2010 to Paris. Orders close on 28 Dec 2009, 6pm.

2. We don’t stock (unless Kelvin spots a pretty Birkin!); we provide the service, so no, there isn’t a page to view bags for sale. We don’t sell you bags, we sell you the service :)

3. We charge boutique price + 7%. Every third bag enjoys the 7% shopping charge waiver. Yes, you will receive all original receipts.

4. Yes, I am really the lady who sometimes take public transport with her Birkin, as I don’t have a car license. If you see me, say hi!

Here’s a picture of my son in his best impersonation of the Underwear Monster (haha totally made up la), to take the edge off a crazy day. And oh yes, Happy Halloween,Monster people!

Happy day flashbacks!

Been so caught up in getting ready for my trip that I had forgotten to post about the shopping Kelvin did in Paris for a couple of happy people!

Met the poised and really affable HX at the Royal Copenhagen Tea House to pass her the lovely 32cm Kelly and gorgeous enamel bracelet.

Quetsch is a colour so hard to capture in pictures; it has so many inflections, for want of a better word. Under yellow lighting, it looks darker than prune; under white lighting, it appears to be a brighter raisin as described by the Hermes SA; in the sun, the blue hues come up even stronger. But that’s what makes it so precious, I really believe :)

quetschkellyTaken under the yellow yellow lighting of the cafe. Raisin-prune, no?

EnamelSee, even the Rouge bracelet turns up looking Framboise under the yellow light.

The following day, I met Gloria to pass her the cute tiny Matrioschka Russian Doll pendant on a chain and her Chanel studs.

gloriawdoll

She sports the Chanel Carousel Convertible Necklace (so very chicly) that she bought from us (yes, it was this that started her on the slippery slope heheh, I still get queries about it to this day, I kid you not!)

glorianecklace

And yes, today I met Gloria again, to hand her even more russian dolls!
This time, it was a Russian Doll on a pendant, albeit a much bigger one than her first purchase, with intricate embellishments and crystals. Very very pretty. And also, a pair of very cute russian doll earrings. Yes, people, she’s got nearly the entire set! :)

Hold your breath for pictures of the second Birkin Kelvin had managed to order; it will arrive in November. We found out that ordering one even in Paris is not a straightforward thing at all having to skilfully manoeuver around the internal H-politics, but thankfully, Kelvin’s Hermes SA is a sweetheart.

B, send over your pics of the handsome LV belt! :)

Will try to get hold of more pics of happy people, even from trips way back! I would always forget to take pictures arrrgh.

And of course! How can I miss this one out: C’s Gold Togo 30cm :) If you want to read about how this was originally a Rouge Garrance, click here!

Carol’s shopping Tokyo!

To be honest, I didn’t know if I should broadcast Tokyo as a shopping trip. I had intended for it to be a chill-out, eat-til-I-burst, watch-the-cute-jap-guys kind of trip.

Anyhoo, I may be on a quest to get a colourful 30cm Birkin for a young lady. I think I may be able to take 2 more orders, if any of you are interested.

Orders close 28Aug, Friday, 6pm. Email me at carolinacarolina@mac.com

We charge 10% for this Tokyo trip (update: revised down from the usual 12%, and for Hermes bags, the shopping charge is special at a low 6.5% cos we all know how notorious the premium is for Japan Hermes), for the orders are usually for items that are hard to get in other parts of the world, e.g. editions limited to Tokyo only or readily-available Birkin in certain colours. (of course the loyalty discount still stands: those placing their third bag orders and have paid full shopping fees before…. are eligible to redeem their no-shopping-fee ticket for this trip!) I will be upfront; you do pay a premium, but your options are that much more. But do email me, and we can talk!
