Happy day flashbacks!

Been so caught up in getting ready for my trip that I had forgotten to post about the shopping Kelvin did in Paris for a couple of happy people!

Met the poised and really affable HX at the Royal Copenhagen Tea House to pass her the lovely 32cm Kelly and gorgeous enamel bracelet.

Quetsch is a colour so hard to capture in pictures; it has so many inflections, for want of a better word. Under yellow lighting, it looks darker than prune; under white lighting, it appears to be a brighter raisin as described by the Hermes SA; in the sun, the blue hues come up even stronger. But that’s what makes it so precious, I really believe :)

EnamelSee, even the Rouge bracelet turns up looking Framboise under the yellow light.

The following day, I met Gloria to pass her the cute tiny Matrioschka Russian Doll pendant on a chain and her Chanel studs.

She sports the Chanel Carousel Convertible Necklace (so very chicly) that she bought from us (yes, it was this that started her on the slippery slope heheh, I still get queries about it to this day, I kid you not!)

And yes, today I met Gloria again, to hand her even more russian dolls!
This time, it was a Russian Doll on a pendant, albeit a much bigger one than her first purchase, with intricate embellishments and crystals. Very very pretty. And also, a pair of very cute russian doll earrings. Yes, people, she’s got nearly the entire set! :)

Hold your breath for pictures of the second Birkin Kelvin had managed to order; it will arrive in November. We found out that ordering one even in Paris is not a straightforward thing at all having to skilfully manoeuver around the internal H-politics, but thankfully, Kelvin’s Hermes SA is a sweetheart.

B, send over your pics of the handsome LV belt! :)

Will try to get hold of more pics of happy people, even from trips way back! I would always forget to take pictures arrrgh.

And of course! How can I miss this one out: C’s Gold Togo 30cm :) If you want to read about how this was originally a Rouge Garrance, click here!

Taking Kyoto LV orders

Kelvin is going to Kyoto for about two weeks.

The Damier Neverfull, that’s not sold in this region, anyone?

As many of you know that the bulk of our earnings come from the tax rebate, and since tax rebates in Japan is minimal, the shopping charge for this trip is at 12% (instead of the 8% we charge for Paris trips).

Which means, if you order the PM Neverfull retailing at 71,400 Yen (S$1099), you pay S$1231. You keep the original receipts.

As a rough guage, the boutique prices for the Damier Neverfull are:
PM – 71,400 Yen

MM – 77,700 Yen

GM – 84,000 Yen

We take orders for other models too. Just SMS me at 96877490 or email me at carolinacarolina@mac.com. For details, you can click on the ‘Order me some Happiness’ link on the right column.

Orders close this Saturday 1pm.

Madonna for Louis Vuitton…

…. for the new season, is just plain scary.

I’m sorry, but this just puts me off buying any LV, till I wash out this vision from my head with bleach, double rinse. I apologise for this vision early in the morning.

I went to the Chanel RTW sale on Friday. The small collection is in a little room off the main bags section. A lovely and patient manager served me and I was able to try on a couple of jackets. As you know, a Chanel jacket is next on my Holy Grail list.

Being the Fall season however, the jackets are in heavier tweed and in more sombre colours. Not really me (I can hear my hubby’s huge sigh of relief). I was shown a dull blue tweed pea coat-swing jacket with asymmetric buttons that has been marked down by 50% to 3K plus. I wanted so badly to like it, but the colour just doesn’t suit my skin tone. But I’m sure it would make someone else really happy. If you think you may be a happy owner of this cute piece, ask the manager for the jackets from the past season that is not on display.

I also wanted to take some pictures of the jackets I tried in the changing room, for you folks, but as there were a few ladies sitting just outside, I thought twice about it. Only after I left, did I realise that I could have muted the sound of the camera click sound. But no fear, the manager says to try for the next season, in January, for the lighter jackets. I promise some pictures then. Sorry for the late report on this, I had been tired out by my little man (the son, not the husband!)

BTW, if you wondered where the H (for Hermes) ladies were the entire Friday afternoon, they were in that little room in Chanel. Everyone in there carried a H bag, all Birkins (one of which is a gorgeous Ostrich in Orange) and one Lindy.

Oh! There is one orange Lindy in the Takashimaya Hermes shop window. In my hurry, I missed the opportunity to capture a picture of it.

PS. Some of the Chanel shoes and sandals are being marked down. Go, go, go!
