Look at the right-most keys on the poster. Those are blatant carbon copies.
Yes, so local goldsmiths had been carrying key designs forever, and we often get them for 21st birthdays, as a coming-of-age symbol. But to have the Key designs and advertising so blatantly copied, come on.

I felt anger. I felt indignance. But wait till you hear Tiffany’s response (bad sentence structure and all) to my complaint.

They didn’t have to do anything, or sue anyone, I just wanted Tiffany to make the appropriate sympathetic noises. But to have them reply me in this self-centred apathetic manner and to end off with it being ‘compliment that they would try to imitate our goods’ was a slap to my face.

So there, go on SK Jewellery, do what you do best. Copy, and copy some more. Tiffany says it’s a-OK.

And yes, why pay thousands for a Tiffany Key like my hubby did, when you can have the same for $199! Go to SK Jewellery!

And this Susan Karecki of Tiffany should be giving a course in Customer Relations and PR. Hell, just give her an award.

And hey, did anyone notice that Paloma Picasso’s Sugar Stacks carried by Tiffany, look like cheaper copies of Pomellato’s Nudo rings. Tiffany, you are one class act.

P.S. I had been pondering for months if I should blog this. I decided to finally. More often than not, we are a faceless bunch of money machines for these corporations, and they do have to answer their due. I feel like I have been mowed over twice. Ok! Enough of Carol versus the world.

It was a matter of time really. Jas has been coveting some beautiful crystal drop earrings from Tiffany’s when she first laid eyes on it about 2.5 years ago, when we were traipsing along London’s Bond Street.

I remember thinking that this must be what angel’s teardrops look like, for they too, cost the earth! I mean, these are crystals, for heaven’s sake.

Anyhoo. I did remember thinking that there was another brand that specialises in coloured crystals and stones. It wasn’t Baccarat, as I so believed at that time, but the less obvious but no less reputable, Pomellato.

Feast your eyes on these beauties. Pure, unadorned crystalline beauty.

What’s recently caught my eyes are these Lucciole stackable rings, affordable (yay!), with prices starting at 295 euros. I imagine the graphite one with one diamond would work lovely as a wedding band.
